PLP completes 175,000 sq ft industrial facility at Liverpool International Business Park
PLP has completed the first speculative development of its portfolio at Liverpool International Business Park.
L175, the 175,000 sq. ft. industrial and logistics facility reached practical completion in August and is now available for occupation.
L175 is the largest speculative development for a decade in Liverpool and represents a significant investment by PLP.
Located adjacent to Liverpool Airport and close to Liverpool 2, L175 is also the only Grade A unit in excess of 100,000 sq ft within a 10 mile radius of Jaguar Land Rover providing significant cost savings for JLR supply chain businesses wishing to relocate to Liverpool International Business Park.
Matt Fitton, Development Director at PLP said “The completion of L175 within budget and on schedule is another significant milestone for PLP as it continues to build a reputation as a developer of high quality warehousing facilities.”
He continues, “The speculative development is particularly attractive to the automotive sector with Jaguar Land Rover situated just 5 minutes away at Halewood. The opening of Liverpool 2 in the near future provides a catalyst for increased warehousing demand in the region and makes L175 an excellent opportunity for occupiers seeking to expand or build a new presence in the North West.”
The building was constructed by Eric Wright Group and designed by AEW Architects. Managing Director of AEW, Steve Burne commented, “We have worked with the supply chain and the construction team to create a functional logistics facility meeting institutional standards with the flexibility to accommodate potential occupier requirements.”
